Gallery Program

Wonderful Wednesdays

This new gallery program offers families an informal introduction to the Museum’s collection and special exhibitions. Offered once a month, this free program consists of a focused tour that is accompanied by a drawing project created by the Museum’s education staff. This winter, Wonderful Wednesdays focus on Selections from the Permanent Collection.

September 10 – visiting the work of Henry Moore and Stephen Balkenhol
October 8 – visiting the work of Roxy Paine
November 12 – Visiting the work of Daisy Youngblood and Melissa Miller
December 10 – Visiting the work of Teresa Hubbard and Alexander Birchler

Drawing from
the Collection
for Children

This gallery program is for children between the ages of 5 and 10. On the first Sunday of each month, beginning in March, Denton artist Sally Packard leads the class through informal drawing exercises in relation to works in the collection. Parents are welcome to accompany their children for these informative drawing exercises in the galleries. Bring a sketchbook and pencils or purchase materials from The Modern Shop. Attendance is limited to 15, so arrive early to ensure your participation. Sign in at the information desk. Please note that the class is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to 15. Gallery admission is free on the first Sunday of the month.
