First Fridays at the Modern
Fall 2008

The first Friday of each month, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and Café Modern team up to bring you live music and cocktails from 5 to 8 pm. Bring your friends to enjoy diverse live performances, cocktail selections, and the opportunity to dine in Café Modern by night. A docent-led, 20-minute spotlight tour of the galleries is available at 6:30 pm. The tour is free for Modern members and Star-Telegram Press Pass Holders.

Steve Story Trio
Steve Story takes the violin to new heights performing jazz standards from the thirties and forties up to the present. Known for his exciting improvised solos and the beautiful sound of his historic jazz instrument, he has also been known to use wah-wah pedals and electronic delays on the violin.

Sam Walker Trio
Area favorites Sam Walker (guitar), Kyp Green (bass), and Roy Snodgrass (drums) bring their mellow sound to the Modern, a First Friday first for this popular trio.
